Empowered Futures Initiative for Youth and Young Mothers has launched a free four-month welding training programme for girls, youth and young mothers in Bunyangabu District.
Building practical skills for economic opportunity
Through hands-on instruction, participants are learning core welding and metal-fabrication skills designed to strengthen confidence, employability and pathways to self-reliance.
Skills that multiply in the community
The programme also encourages participants to share what they learn by training others in their communities at no cost, extending access to practical skills beyond the initial group.
Community-supported training
This opportunity was secured by Director Kabugho Mackline through support from friends in Kasese District. The initiative reflects Empowered Futuresβ commitment to skills development and sustainable livelihoods for young people and young mothers.
